Truffle Chimichurri BBQ Steak
Ingredients:
- Thick cut Ribeye Steak
- 2 tbsp Red Wine Vinegar
- ½ cup Fresh Parsley
- 4 x Garlic Cloves
- 2 x Red chillies
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- Pinch of Flaked Sea Salt & Black Pepper
Directions:
- To prep your truffle chimichurri, finely chop your parsley, garlic and chillies
- Add the chopped ingredients to a mixing bowl along with your vinegar, oregano, salt and pepper before giving everything a mix. Add your Signature White Truffle Oil and mix everything again. It is always a good ideal to prepare this ahead of your meal (at least 1 hour) as the longer you allow it to infuse, the more amazing the taste becomes.
- Now for your steak… steak on a BBQ adds a whole new level of flavour and depth. Our preference is medium to rare and depending on the thickness of your steak, you will need to really focus on the steak as it cooks to create the perfect cook.
- Prep the steak by giving it a generous coat of olive oil and sprinkle of flaked sea salt
- For a 2-inch-thick cut steak, we cooked it for 12 minutes in total, turning every 3 minutes to ensure we could create a crust from the heat. If the BBQ starts to ‘flame’, this is due to the fat rendering and hitting the coals/grill and will only help aid the crust being formed, so be careful, but do not worry.
- Once you are happy with your steak, remove from the heat and allow to rest for around 5-10 minutes.
- Gently slice your steak into 1cm thick strips and plate before glazing your creation with the already prepared truffle chimichurri – this dish is amazing for one, but even better shared if you want to impress the crowd.
